Since the early 1980s, the brand has truly shaped the sound of modern music and has set standards in music technology. Roland has recently found a need for a resurgence of their brand and a tangible approach to reaching a new generation of DJs. We understood that their iconic logo would need to remain as the focal point of their branding, but there was a distinct need for innovative and strategic marketing in order to push the brand forward in a competitive marketplace. BPM Media Group presented a unique offering that would benefit both the Roland Corporation as well as their valued customer base.
We recognized a clear opportunity to reach prospective Roland customers in the DJ and production industry. By offering exclusive memberships for BPM Supreme’s record pool, newly registered Roland DJ controller customers were given direct access to top-quality music. DJ Controller sales increased and a mutually beneficial opportunity was created for Roland, BPM Supreme, and most importantly, DJs and producers looking to purchase a Roland product.
The execution of the partnership was done largely through the creation of a dedicated microsite. We felt this would best boost Roland’s web engagement and overall impressions. With a responsive and intuitive design, the microsite was easily viewable on both desktop and mobiles. The visual identity of the pages combined both a balance between Roland’s iconic look and feel, and a “top of the line”, modern aesthetic.
